The artist Javier Pividal presents the project ‘Rito’, curated by Sergio Porlán, which will open on May 5 at 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Convalescence in Murcia.
‘Rite’ opens up a series of possibilities to articulate new contemporary rituals where the subject chooses from his ideology the way to evoke the spiritual. Javier Pividal brings together a series of witnesses or fragments that allude to the occupation of symbolic space. Fetishes increased in their sacrificial character; prostheses that put in check the contemporary subject in his disposition to be occupied but that, in a double movement, deny it; objects that account for a fold of meaning closed in on itself.
