Midnight after desert

Our artist Álvaro Albaladejo transfers his project ‘Midnight after the desert’ to the Huelva museum as part of the cycle of traveling exhibitions by the Andalusian community of the Initiate Program.

Midnight after the desert is located at the convergence of two intensities, like two colliding images: the figure of the cactus and the ornament, linked together by their hallucinatory potential. The cactus refers to altered states of consciousness, a direct allusion to hallucinogenic mescaline that can be found in several species of this family.
