Ana Martinez

Martínez’s work has its origin in the need to reconcile with a collection of inherited things, to preserve its memory and, at the same time, to project it into the future. Works that transform a collection of inherited things into science fiction motifs. Drawings that mutate into spaceships or open to the infinity of outer space. In this way, the stories that they store and that now inhabit a new world, in the renewed present of the artist, travel through time to a future yet to come, demonstrating that memory does not only belong to the past, but that, Through the mediation of art, he is always heading towards the future.
