Between the forms that go towards the serpent and the forms that seek the crystal

The Andalusian Center for Contemporary Art brings together the work of twelve young Andalusian artists, including the artists Álvaro Albaladejo, Capitán del Río and Manuel M. Romero.

The exhibition proposes a dialogue with the space and the territory that, like the serpent and the glass, establishes affinities and differences. Some proposals, all produced specifically for the exhibition, directly interpellate close and recognizable references, while others move away, proposing even non-existent realities.

The apparent simplicity of Manuel M. Romero’s paintings introduce into the exhibition a reflection on the internal possibilities of the painting itself, while the works of Pablo Capitán del Río and Álvaro Albaladejo dialogue directly with the space in which they have been arranged.

English Version

The Andalusian Center for Contemporary Art brings together the work of twelve young Andalusian artists, including Álvaro Albadalejo, Capitán del Río and Manuel M. Romero.

The exhibition proposes a dialogue within space and territory that, like the serpent and glass, establishes affinities and differences. Some proposals, all produced specifically for the exhibition, directly challenge close and recognizable references, while others move away, proposing even non-existent realities.

The apparent simplicity that Manuel M. Romero’s paintings bring into the exhibition, is a reflection on the internal possibilities of the painting itself, while the works of Pablo Capitán del Río and Álvaro Albaladejo directly dialogue with the space in which they have been displayed.
